Because Chaewon grew up watching her mom perform on stage. She admired being on stage. So in elementary school she practiced Wonder Girls' choreo with her friend and performed on stage for the first time in her life

The motivation for Chaewon to write the song she wrote and composed (Slow Journey) was that time with IZONE and WIZ*ONEs is so much fun but its fast so she wrote the lyrics wishing the time to go slowly

Ssamu : (She got this nickname because of the dress of what she wore during the concept evaluation in Produce 48. It was a mint colored dress and she was the center that time and because of her refreshing visuals, people gave her this nickname which is "Ssamu" that is the korean term of radish)
Ssamachi : (She got this nickname because she tends to make fun of the other members, so people decided to give this nickname)
Fairy Won : (She got this nickname even before she debuted as a member of IZ*ONE. She got this nickname along with the "Ssamu" one because of her fairy like visuals)
Wonie : (This one is the common one and the ones that mostly korean fans uses to her)

Her journey from a trainee to Produce 48 to being a member of IZ*ONE

As of the most of the public know, she is a trainee from Woollim Entertainment and is a trainee for 11 months. She audition there with BoA's song 'Atlantic Princess'. Then she participated in Mnet's survival show Produce 48. She auditioned with 3 other Woollim trainees [Eunbi, Sohee and Suyun]. She got a B grade on the first evaluation of the show. The show runs and then the group battle came by. This is the first group battle. She and her group got to perform Twice's Like Ooh Ahh Japanese version. Here she got 104 points and won. She also the vocal position and made a buzz because of her cuteness and her on point vocals. In the group battles she often get one of the highest points in her groups

She is also considered as one of the prettiest in the whole show. Her ranks are in either in the middle or on the low level but despite of that she is one of the trainees that gets good impressions and trends in korean sites. She is seen as one of the great vocalists in the show. People fell in love with her charms that even though she got little air time in the show, people recognizes her as one of the amazing trainees that shines even though she gets less screen time

In the shows concept evaluation she got the center for the song "To Reach You" and they ranked 2nd all in all. Because of her hard work and determination. She then get to rank at 10th spot in the final line up and manage to debut as an IZ*ONE member. Now she is known as one of the group's aces
